Culture Night Event Old Ballades of Ireland

A music event celebrating Irish/German culture. Anke Morgenroth, Bear Essentials says of the event “I really enjoy celebrating Culture Night at Bear Essentials, and this year I am combining two of my great passions, my German heritage and food and traditional Irish Ballads."

Anke has invited Alain Raymond, Balladeer along for the session also. Alain will be singing, playing the guitar and banjo. “We shall be singing old ballads of Ireland and songs sang by bands such as The Dubliners, Wolfe Tones, The Fureys , The Pogues and many more. We are an acoustic duo. I myself have always sang Irish ballads since a child and my influences are Luke Kelly and songs by Phil Coulter, who I was very lucky to perform with on Cork 96 FM recently.”
