An exhibition on 'Cavan Women in Politics', exploring the significant role played in local and national politics by 42 Cavan women, will open at Cavan County Museum on Thursday, 16 May at 8pm
Researched by Evelyn Brady, this exhibition celebrates the contribution of women from Mary Brady, Cavan's first female elected representative, who began her political career in 1920, up to the new generation of women politicians.
The event will be launched by the Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, Councillor Madeleine Argue.
