Sun 20th December
7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Award-winning actors Aaron Monaghan and Bryan Burroughs will perform their acclaimed adaptation of Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’ at Townhall Cavan Arts Space on Sunday, 20 December at 7.30pm.
Performed in 45 exhilarating minutes by two of Ireland’s brightest acting talents, Charles Dickens’ classic tale is playfully and faithfully retold using only physical and vocal skill, many hats, some scarves, fairy lights… and an IKEA coat rack!
Cavan native Aaron Monaghan is a member of the prestigious Druid Ensemble and won an Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Tom Murphy’s ‘Conversations on a Homecoming’.
Bryan Burroughs is well-known to Cavan audiences, having wowed at Townhall in November with his mesmerising one-man show ‘Beowulf: The Blockbuster’. The hit of the 2014 Edinburgh Festival, Burrough’s performances have garnered a slew of five-star reviews from the New York Times, The Irish Times and the Scotsman, among others.
Told with an unbridled passion for this most famous of cautionary tales, experience A Christmas Carol’s unforgettable characters and enduring Christmas spirit as you’ve never seen them before this Christmas at Townhall Cavan.
