Hilton Park, located outside of Clones, in County Monaghan welcomes Chapterhouse Theatre Company back for another extraordinary open air production. This time Sense and Sensibility is played out on the front lawn at Hilton Park on Sunday 1st July at 7pm, promising to be one of the most enchanting and unmissable events of the summer.
Magical theatre in magical surroundings
This open air theatre production of Sense and Sensibility celebrates the legacy of Jane Austen “still dazzling after 200 years” (Observer).
Join Chapterhouse Theatre Company this summer at Hilton Park as Elinor and Marianne Dashwood make their first forays into the exciting world of Regency society. Adapted by award-winning writer Laura Turner, this exquisite and lively tale follows the sisters as they fall in love, make mistakes and experience heartbreak for the first time in their quest to find a balance between sense and sensibility.
o The open air theatre begins at 7pm, theatre goers can arrive from 5.30pm and walk and picnic in the heritage gardens of Hilton Park.
o There will be a wine bar along with Monaghan’s blossoming food truck company, Blasta.
o Picnic in the beautiful gardens and enjoy a night of magical theatre under the stars.
Theatre goers are asked to bring rugs or their own low back seating to watch the performance on the front lawn.
