Ceol Connected's Sounding the Senses artist residency at Holy Family School
Ceol Connected have been working with Holy Family School to facilitate a week-long artist residency incorporating multisensory workshops and performances. Artists Thomas Johnston and Orla Kelly, while drawing on an ocean theme, have designed a series of workshops which sensitively respond to the particular needs of each child. Multisensory experiences - sound, smell, touch, taste, and movement – have been embedded throughout each workshop, and children are encouraged to engage in ways that are meaningful for them.
At the end of the residency, Ceol Connected will perform their multisensory show - A Winter Wish - for all those children who have participated in the workshops during the week. This is Ceol Connected's second year partnering with Holy Family School, kindly supported by Cavan County Council Arts Office and Creative Cavan.
