A Man of Some Importance

Jacqui Kelly's 'A Man of Some Importance' book launch, Bailieborough Library 18 October, 7.30pm

Local author and solicitor, Jacqui Kelly, has just published her new novel 'A Man of Some Importance' to great reviews.

This book will be launched in Bailieborough Library by Padraig McIntyre on Thursday October 18 at 7.30pm.

Just in time for the real thing this first novel is about a lawyer who decides to run for President of Ireland. His name is Patrick Devoy Kavanagh. In public he is a man at the top of his game – a celebrity lawyer, chat-show regular and a patron of numerous children’s charities.

Behind the scenes he is drowning in debt, his legal practice is haemorrhaging clients and his PA is expecting his child. So why not run for President of Ireland – he has all the skills, he can talk for Ireland and it would sort out his money issues? So he begins the process of securing four nominations from the county councils. Will he succeed or will his inconvenient past get in his way?

Date: 18th October

Time: 7.30pm

Venue: Bailieborough Library
