The Pure Drop Book launch and NYAH Session Market Square Cavan

Cllr Brendan Fay, Cathaoirleach, Cavan Belturbet Municipal District will launch the book at Market Square Cavan (Weather Permitting) at 3:30 pm. NYAH Comhaltas musicians singers & dancers will be entertaining from 3pm to 4pm.

 

Open invitation to attend the book launch of The Pure Drop: Drawings of Traditional Irish Musicians, Singers and Dancers by Carlotta Hester USA on Sunday 9th August.

 

This publication features a selection of live-action drawings from the now historic All Ireland Music Festivals in County Cavan starting in 2010.  Featuring a foreword by acclaimed author Alice McDermott and an introduction by the book's editor Chris Murray, The Pure Drop is a unique and dynamic artists document of the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.  Carlotta Hester and Chris Murray will be attending the book launch. "Carlotta Hester's drawings reveal the very best about the people around us that do great things every day." The Irish Voice.

 

 

Friends from all Co Cavan Comhaltas branches invited to join in, please bring your own stool. Event subject to Covid -19 Guidelines and social distancing measures will be implemented.
