County Cavan Local Live Performance Programming Support Scheme Phase lll 2022

Cavan County Council now invite applications from experienced producers, promoters, venues, performers/artists, community and business organisations and festivals or similar organisations to apply for support towards the presentation of Local Live Performance Events in County Cavan between March and 30 June 2022.  

The latest strand of the LLPPS Scheme from the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media is to assist local authorities in providing local live performance opportunities between March and 30 June 2022. 

The Scheme will support employment and well-being in the commercial arts and culture sectors through the provision of live performances ideally but not limited to the outdoors.

“Phase lll of the scheme aims, in conjunction with the Creative Communities initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme, to assist local authorities in providing local live performance opportunities. Harnessing the creative potential of our people and communities is a cornerstone of the Creative Ireland Programme led by the Department.”   This supports cross collaborative events or initiatives which allow local authorities contribute to the implementation of their respective Culture and Creativity Strategy 2018 – 2022.  ( Rationale for LLPPS lll)

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

Events may take place in indoor or outdoor and they must be managed and delivered in accordance with the prevailing Health and Safety guidelines.

Completed applications must be emailed to artsoffice@cavanocco.ie no later than 4.30pm on Monday 14th March 2022.

How Much can I Apply For ?

Grants of between to €3,000 - €12,000 (inclusive of all VAT and other relevant Tax Liabilities) will be available per event, or event series.

What Events and Activities can be Funded under LLPPSS Phase III?

  • The funding is to assist experienced producers, promoters, venues, performers, artists, community/business organisations and festivals to use the funding to support employment and well-being in the commercial arts and culture sectors through the provision of live performances ideally.
  • Performance events and event series that will attract local and visiting audiences.
  • Once off events and festival can be supported under this scheme.
  • The presentation of a wide range of performance types and multiple music genres with due regard to gender equality and diversity.   The selection of the programme ultimately rests with the Local Authority.
  • To support employment and well-being in the commercial arts and culture sectors through the provision of live performances ideally but not limited to outdoors.
  • The programme of local live performance opportunities under this phase can support cross-collaborative events which allow local authorities contribute to the implementation of their respective Culture and Creativity Strategy 2018 – 2022. https://www.creativeireland.gov.ie/en/cavan/
  • Cavan County Council expect artists fees to be in line with the Arts Council Fair and Equitable Remuneration of Artists. Producers and technical staff fees will be fair and equitable in line with standard industry rates.

 

What Events and Activities can NOT be funded under LLPPSS Phase lll?

 

  • Fundraising activities or Charitable Events.
  • Events that are already booked or an at advanced stage will not be considered eligible.

 

HOW TO MAKE AN APPLICATION:

All applications for support under the Cavan LLPPSS Phase lll must be made on the official Cavan County Council LLPPSS Application Form, copies of which are now available by emailing:  artsoffice@cavancoco.ie.

 

Completed applications forms should be emailed to artsoffice@cavanocco.ie no later than 4.30pm on Monday 14th March 2022
