Spark Arts & Business Collaborations

SPARK - call for artists

Leitrim County Council is currently seeking interest from artists interested in taking part in SPARK, a 6-month artist-in-residence programme which this year will be based in Merenda, a company in Manorhamilton that produces wood veneer products for clients worldwide.

SPARK is a partnership project of Leitrim County Council’s Arts Office and Local Enterprise Office and is supported by the Arts Council. It is aimed at artists who are interested in working in new environments and companies who are interested in collaborating with artists and promoting creativity within their organisations.

Artists wishing to apply for Spark should email ckelly@leitrimcoco.ie to declare their interest in the programme before Monday 13th May. Interested artists will then be invited to a site visit where they will have the opportunity to meet with management and staff, leading to a better understanding of the programme and the company before submitting a proposal towards the end of June. The residency takes place over 35 days between July and December.
