Opportunity – Film Development Manager – Sligo/Leitrim/Roscommon

Creative Heartlands is a new project developed by Leitrim, Sligo and Roscommon Arts Offices and Local Enterprise Offices in partnership with a number of cultural organisations and stakeholders in the three counties. The project is designed to strengthen the regional creative sector and to provide insight and expertise to plan for development within the three counties. Continuing to build on the work undertaken under the SLR film project (, one of the key areas identified for development is the film sector and applications for the position of ‘Creative Heartlands Project Manager- Film’ are now sought.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape this new project and work across the region to support filmmakers and to foster and grow the film sector in the region. This is a three-year part-time position on fixed term contract which will commence in early 2021. The position will be based in Carrick-on-Shannon, but it is expected that remote working will be a feature of the contract in the current circumstances and may remain a feature to an extent thereafter. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop projects that support the professional development of film professionals in the region, encourage diverse opportunities for filmmakers; and encourage collaboration and interdisciplinary activities across the creative sector.
