'Access your Creativity through the Landscape'

Droimín Creative in association with Heritage Office Cavan celebrate Heritage Week 2021 by inviting you to a zoom workshop

'Access your Creativity through the Landscape’.

3 different arts practitioners take a creative path through doorways and dimensions, lakes and ringforts, drumlins and ridges. It will take place on zoom, next Thursday 29th July from 11am -1.00pm, facilitated by poet Heather Brett, and art therapists Kim Doherty and Julie Aldridge.

Join us in a two hour workshop to explore why heritage sites and natural beauty spots can draw us in while others repel. Healing lakes and old sites of protection, the pull of water. The curve of the hills and the soft body of the earth. Find a song within to expand your creativity.

Art and poetry exercises take a deeper look at what's around us and welcome whatever comes in through the natural doorways.

Use your own favourite art materials for writing, drawing, painting, modelling etc. There is no charge for this workshop as it is offered by Droimín Creatives facilitators and subsidised by the Heritage Office Cavan County Council.

Please be aware that there will be a recording of this workshop. The facilitation will be oriented towards creative making, not therapy. An edited version of the video will be used to promote a series of workshops on the same theme. If you are interested in taking part, please let us know by Monday 26th (5pm) at the latest and details of the link will be sent to you.

Workshop limited so booking essential.
