Ballyjamesduff Youth Exhibit their Creativity Outdoors with Cavan Artists

 

Saturday 12 March 6.30pm to 9pm, Tennis Court, Ballyjamesduff

 

On Saturday 12 March a series of arts projects will take place in Ballyjamesduff. They include the official opening of the 'Resources and Resilience' mural, a project for young people involving Teach Solais, HSE Connecting for life, Kim Doherty and Heather Brett.   

 

The young people working with two artists created a gallery of new works to enhance the streets of Ballyjamesduff. This is a community development initiative by Teach Solais and partner organisations.  The work will be available to view on the former Percy French Hotel windows.   

 

Bounce Back will display a piano project in the Courthouse. The young people worked on this project with Robbie Perry and Bounce Back Youth Leaders.   

 

A performance by Wonder Youth Theatre Group, Ballyjamesduff will be showcased.   

 

The evening will conclude with a projection of the Portals of Wellbeing at the Ball Alley/Tennis Club. This project part of Faoin Spéir Cavan was created by artists including: Julie Aldridge, Kim Doherty, Heather Brett, Rosie Cole, Caroline Conway, Marilyn Gaffney and Colm Mullen with the Drumalee Film and Photography Club.
