Elena Duff's exhibition 'The Old Gods' - originally shown in the Cavan County Museum earlier this year - is travelling to Bailieborough Courthouse. This venue also houses the newly-opened Bailieborough Bridewell Museum. 

The exhibition consists of a series of large and small paintings exploring the threads which connect us to our ancient past, folk tales and fairy tales and reflect upon humankind's connection to the natural world. The resulting works are aesthetically-pleasing, yet full of surreal whimsy, inspired in part by Persian miniatures and Medieval art. Expect also to see some additional new pieces created for this exhibition.

All are welcome to the exhibition launch 7pm Wednesday 22nd of October, Bailieborough Courthouse. Poet Laureate for Bailieborough Mairéad Donnellan will launch the exhibition. 

The exhibition runs until the 8th of November.
