Are you an emerging artist passionate about creating positive change through art?

Join our online information session to learn more about the National Call Out for 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 & 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 and the application process. 

This European initiative connects art with health, care, education and social well-being, supporting artist-led projects that make a real community impact. 

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝: • Funding for 3 artist-led projects • €8,000 grant per project. One project based in Cavan Town, others anywhere in Ireland

• Projects run March - October 2026

📅 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬: 🗓 Call Opens: 15 Jan 2026 🗓 Call Closes: 12 Feb 2026

🗓 Decisions: Applicants will be notified before month end.

✅ We welcome participatory, socially engaged and innovative arts & health projects - including residencies, collaborations with healthcare, social or education settings, and practice-based research.

🤝Applicants must have a letter of collaboration from a partner organisation (e.g. school, hospital, care home).

Guidelines for CultureActionEurope Funding – Cavan Arts (€8,000 Project)

We envisage the project to be administered by an artist solely - or an artist working as part of a small team of 2 or more persons.

Budget Should Include

Breakdown of Project Costs

Provide a detailed breakdown of where the grant money will be utilised for your project.

Insurance Requirements

• Artists must ensure they have Personal insurance for the duration of the project, and Public Liability Insurance with cover to the tune of €2,600,000.
• Please obtain a quote or check your current insurance policy to confirm adequate coverage should you be successful.
• You can include any additional costs of this insurance in your budget and claim it back that way.

Professional Documentation

• Include costs for photography and video documentation of your project (where appropriate)
• Please ensure sensitivity to participants and compliance with GDPR regulations, including written consent for children or vulnerable persons. We will supply you with links to these forms and others if successful.

Travel & Presentation

• Budget for at least 2 trips to Co. Cavan during the project:
  • Training and CPD days
  • Travel to complete garda vetting forms (Need to be completed in person)

Evaluation

• You are required to complete evaluation questionnaires for Culture and Health platform as part of an artist toolkit and as agreed with Cavan County Council Arts office.
• We would welcome professional evaluation, but it is not a requirement
• You do not need to be experienced in this area; Cavan Arts and Health Forum will provide online training to assist artists who are unfamiliar with evaluation techniques.

Meetings & Training

• Budget for 3–4 online meetings for training sessions or meet-ups over the course of the project with Cavan Arts and Health Forum.

Additional costs might include but are not limited to:

• Materials
• Framing or other costs depending on the art medium being used
• Administration time (including Garda vetting)

Support

• Cavan Arts and Health Forum will support you through these requirements.
