1️ Townhall Arts Centre Gallery – Call for Exhibition Proposals

Artists and arts organisations are invited to apply for exhibition opportunities in our 2026/27 visual arts programme. Open to emerging, mid‑career and established artists working in all visual artforms.
Includes a €1,000 exhibition bursary.

2️ Townhall Arts Centre & Cavan Arts Studio Awards 2026–2027

Studio spaces available for 3‑month residencies with a €6,000 bursary for professional artists in any discipline.
Seeking artists exploring Contemporary Culture, County Cavan Themes, or Interdisciplinary Practice.

Six bursaries available (3 per county) to support short youth arts projects delivered with a professional artist.

Cavan Arts Bursary Award 2026

Supports emerging, mid-career, and professional artists to develop their practice through research, training, mentorship, residencies, or collaboration. No requirement to present work during the award period.
Funding: Up to €1,300–€3,000 depending on career stage.

Cavan Arts Project Awards 2026

Funding for artists, arts organisations, and community groups to deliver ambitious arts projects in any artform in County Cavan, including but not limited to exhibitions, workshops, spectacle and street art, circus, music, film, theatre, poetry, literature and collaborations between artists, installations for festivals or other events happening in the county etc.
Funding: Up to €4,000.
Deadline: 8:00 p.m., Wednesday 21 January 2026.

Festival Events Support Scheme 2026

Supports festivals that deliver high-quality arts programming, reaches new audiences, and develops artists and art forms.
Funding: €1,000–€4,500 based on festival size and track record.

Three-month residency at The Moth Studios in Cavan Town, offering artists time and space to develop their practice in a shared creative environment.
Award: up to €1,200 plus 3-month studio access.

Irish Writers Centre Open Application for National Mentoring Programme 2026.

Island-wide initiative pairs emerging writers with leading Irish authors.

This highly regarded scheme offers writers across the island of Ireland the opportunity to receive sustained creative and professional support from an established Irish writer of their choosing.

Selected mentees for the 2026 cycle will be announced in March 2026. This initiative is supported by Cavan Arts.
